AVT Group strives to reduce its environmental impacts and to promote environmental good practice internally within the organisation and with clients, contractors and suppliers.

AVT Group aims to:

• Minimise waste by reduced consumption and develop effective waste management and recycling procedures.
• Develop and implement an integrated “Green” transport policy, using Bio-Fuels where available for all vehicles.
• Reduce the use of energy through improvements to energy efficiency and the substitution where practicable to renewable energy sources. To use low power consumption lighting, have “switch off Friday’s” and look into green energy suppliers.
• Review this policy on an annual basis to take into account changes including legislation and best practice.
• Incorporate under our Quality Management System ISO 9001:2000 existing environmental policies, procedures and practices with the goal to develop them in accordance with Environmental Management Standard ISO 14001.
• Ensure that all paper and timber used by the company is obtained from sustained forestry.
• Ensure that all employees are given the opportunity to take an active role in the implementation and development of environmental policy through consultation and appraisals.
• Ensure that progress is reported on an annual basis to all employees.
• Careful use of natural resources.
• To work where possible with suppliers with environmental policies and accreditation.

• Encouraging all members of staff to improve their awareness of the environment and become more environmentally responsible.
• Providing facilities for safe storage of bicycles in the workplace, encourage use of public transport and car sharing schemes. At the moment over 50% of AVT employees use green methods of transport to and from the work place.
• Conserving energy and giving preference to renewable sources of energy and materials wherever practicable.
• Complying with applicable legal requirements and regulations.
• Prevent pollution.
• Develop solutions to environmental issues in the event and production industries.
• Continual improvement of environmental performance.
• Communicate to our clients and prospects electronically when possible, thus reducing the need for paper and delivery.
• To get approval for video on-line by uploading our productions to our website and reduce or eliminate the need for courier services.
• The vast majority of promotional material to be in electronic form. Any print to be double sided to avoid unnecessary waste.
• Re-use stage flats and store logos for future use where possible.
• To maintain & dispose of equipment with minimal impact to the environment.

AVT would be pleased to calculate the carbon offset required for any event or production on behalf of our clients. We make no charge for this service, but ask our client to meet the cost of offsetting.
