Julian Clover
Editor, Broadband TV News and New Television Insider
Julian Clover is a media and technology journalist with over 17 years' experience, combining programming issues with the business of digital television distribution. Editor of Broadband TV News and New Television Insider, he is a familiar figure on the conference circuit. Mr. Clover has co-produced three editions of the European HDTV Summit (June 2004, March 2005 and January 2006) and So You Want to Start Broadcasting (BAFTA, January 2004). He managed the conference program for EBC 2003, in partnership with the European Cable Communications Association (ECCA) and BCE 2002 at London Olympia.
Annet Aris
Adjunct Professor of Strategy, INSEAD
Annet Aris is Adjunct Professor of Strategy at INSEAD where she developed and teaches the MBA course "Managing Media Companies." She is also a guest professor at, among others, the Hamburg Media School in Germany and the University of Westminster, London. She is a Dutch native and received an MSc from the University of Wageningen in 1984. After acceptance in McKinsey's European INSEAD Fellow program, she completed her MBA in Fontainebleau in 1986. She worked for McKinsey from 1985 until 2003, was elected partner in 1994 and co-led McKinsey's German Media Practice from 1999 to 2003.
David Gillies
Director of Technology, Pace Micro Technology
David Gillies joined Pace Micro Technology in September 2004 to spearhead the Company's latest moves into next-generation set-top box and related technologies. He leads a team of technology experts looking at expanding the opportunities for personal video recording (PVR), high-definition television, broadband delivery technologies and developing new concepts leading to innovative products. Mr. Gilles joined Pace from his own consultancy, isis digital, which he founded after over seven years at BetaResearch in Munich, Germany, where he was Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer.
Mark Kelleher
Head of Operations & Technology, BBC Marketing
Mark Kelleher is the Head of Operations & Technology for BBC Marketing. He is responsible for technology strategy, implementation and daily operations of all technology that underpins the marketing, publicity and market research activities of the BBC's traditional "linear" broadcasting services and the younger on demand digital services. He spent over a decade in British Telecommunications plc as Senior Project Manager in the UK, and as Communications Manager for BT Europe working with BT's eight joint venture companies in the region.
Benny Salaets
Product Manager Interactive TV, Telenet
Benny Salaets is responsible for all interactive and content services on the interactive digital TV platform on Telenet (including channels, VOD, interactive applications) and for pctv, a closed broadband video over IP service on Telenet's broadband portal, targeted to the PC. As a marketer, it's his job to turn technology into sticky services.
