Leslie Ellis is an independent technology analyst, author, and owner of Ellis Edits, Inc., based in Denver, CO. Since September of 2000, she has written and continues to write a bi-weekly column for Multichannel News called "Translation Please," aimed at demystifying commonly used cable and broadband technology terms. For Communications Engineering & Design magazine, Ms. Ellis serves as a contributing writer/editor. Ms. Ellis is senior technology advisor to CTAM, and a contributing research analyst for Bear Stearns Inc. She received the NCTA's Vanguard Award for Associates & Affiliates in 2005.

Marwan Fawaz has over 22 years' experience in the cable industry encompassing engineering, technical operations and business development. He started his career in the industry as a design engineer at Times Mirror Cable Television, where he worked for 10 years. Later he joined Continental Cablevision as a Vice President of Engineering for the Western region. He also worked at MediaOne as a Vice President of Operations and Engineering, served as an Executive-in-Residence at Pilot House Ventures, managed the Northwest region for Charter Communications as the Regional Vice President, and worked for Vulcan Inc., a Paul Allen company, as a Technology Investment Analyst.
Lorenz Glatz

Lorenz Glatz joined Kabel Deutschland in October 2006 to drive KDG's network and services upgrade and next-generation product implementation. His particular focus is to accelerate the upgrade of the RF infrastructure as well as to build out a nationwide IP backbone infrastructure in Germany. In parallel his main focus is on creating advanced triple-play services on top of that infrastructure. Previously, Mr. Glatz worked as the Senior Vice President of Network and Systems Design & Architecture for UPC. In this role he was responsible for design and implementation of the end-to-end broadband network and systems infrastructure of the UPC group.

Hervé Payan was appointed Senior Vice President, Content Partnership and Services at France Telecom in May 2004. Mr. Payan joined FT in 2003 to launch the IPTV in France under the brand name MaLigne TV and then the FT Content Division. Previously, Mr. Payan founded Sports.com, a European company delivering sports content services. In 1993 , he was appointed CEO of Nethold Electronic Media & Telepiu DSTV, a TV company based in Northern Europe and Italy. Prior to this, he joined Philips Consumer Electronics as Head of TV new product marketing. Mr. Payan began his career as an R&D project manager for SAGEM. He holds an MBA from INSEAD and an engineering diploma from l´Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Techniques Avancées (ENSTA).
