More Th>n gets personal - Roadshow Videos

The Challenge

 

More Th>n is a worldwide insurance group that helps to secure the future of individuals and companies.  The company runs the annual ‘Personally Proud to Deliver More Recognition’ scheme, which recognises individual and team excellence within the company.

As part of its desire to recognise the nominees’ premier performances, Royal and SunAlliance commissioned AVT with the task of creating eight one-to-two minute videos summarising the accomplishments of each team.  AVT needed to establish a way for all nominees across the nation to stand out, in a fresh, upbeat manner as each video would be played at the regional awards roadshows.

The AVT Solution

Royal and SunAlliance provided AVT with a list of nominees countrywide who were to be featured in individual videos.  The videos all conveyed a story, establishing why they were contenders for the recognition scheme.  The tone of the videos was inspired by the theme of the roadshow - a TV sport show, similar to the format of Fantasy Football.

Each team developed its own creative treatment to explain its  achievements.  Some created an atmosphere of a sport studio broadcast, referring to their team as a presenter might refer to a successful football team.  Others used a ‘football pundit’ to explain the successes of their team. Others parted altogether with the football theme and created everything from a courtroom drama and a news broadcast to an Arnold Schwarzenegger impression.

In most cases the final product looked and felt like a live sport presentation, with rolling text reiterating the message of the teams’ Premier Performance.  Other methods were used to make the video feel like a sports broadcast, such as a graphic of a football pitch with superimposed heads of the team members on football shirts.

As this was a production that was to be used internally within Royal and SunAlliance, an element of comedy was used, giving a chance to celebrate each team’s success and create a ‘feelgood’ factor for everyone.

All of the footage was filmed in a week, travelling to various locations around England.  The project was edited the following week and ready for delivery in time for the roadshows.

The Results
