The Challenge
For the 4th time running, BARNA chose AVT to provide live event and technical production services for their Annual Conference. This 3-day event took place at Hove Town Hall and attracted over 250 delegates, all working in anaesthetics and recovery.
The AVT Solution
The conference took place in the Banqueting Room where AVT had a highly experienced technician on hand. We were also asked to provide a technician working in the Committee Room with a laptop and in the Council Chamber.
Having covered the event for BARNA in previous years, our team was keen to meet and exceed their requirements, whilst making the most of available resources. The Hove Centre is a versatile venue, and the exhibition area is spacious and airy. We designed and provided a bespoke stage set with a screen to compliment the surroundings.
AVT’s extensive range of AV equipment and expertise was also called upon and equipment used included: laptops, data projector, amps, mixers, speakers and stands, a laser point, lectern, remote control mouse, CD player and specialist microphones.

The Results
Delegates attended clinical and management main lecture tracks, with break out workshops comprising opportunities for the vital smaller group discussions and hands-on practical workshops.
Topics this year included non-invasive ventilation, humidification, fluid management, blood loss and transfusion, anaphylaxis, epidural anaesthesia, ECG, and blood gas interpretation.
Feedback was again extremely positive from attendees, speakers, exhibitors and sponsors alike.
